I absolutely loved my stay at this neat little studio apartment in Kinsarvik. The value for money was excellent, considering the beautiful historical location and the stunning view from the terrace. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing us with valuable information about the area and even giving us updates on road works that could affect our day trips.
The breakfast menu could be improved with a wider selection of options.

The rooms at Huse Gjestegard were cozy and well-equipped, making me feel right at home. I loved having a kitchen where I could prepare meals, and the cable flat-screen TV was a nice touch. The comfortable seating area and desk made it easy for me to work and relax.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the double room to be a bit lacking. However, this is purely my subjective opinion, and others may not be bothered by it.

The charming cottage at Huse Gjestegard had a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The traditional Norwegian decor added a touch of authenticity to my stay, and the comfortable seating areas throughout the hotel were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning views of the fjord. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel, with well-maintained pathways and handrails, making it convenient for me to navigate around the property.
A minor improvement I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people would be the presence of more staff members to assist with luggage and offer additional support for those who may require assistance. However, the children working there were polite and helpful, but having a few more staff members would have made the overall experience even more enjoyable for seniors.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay in the white cabin at Huse Gjestegard. The location is idyllic, with breathtaking views overlooking the fjord. The cabin itself is beautifully renovated and comfortably accommodated our family of four. The hosts, Liv and Leif, were amazing and made us feel right at home. There are some great hikes in the surrounding area, including the 4-waterfalls-walk and the Queen Sonia panoramic trail. The scenery of the Hardangerfjord and nearby villages is truly magnificent. We would love to go back one day!
Would recommend this hotel.

The cottage is warm and clean, offering a comfortable stay. The staff is friendly and welcoming, ensuring that guests have everything they need. Additionally, the nearby trails to four mesmerizing waterfalls provide a unique and unforgettable experience.
The access road to the hotel might be unpaved and narrow, which could potentially pose a slight inconvenience for some travelers.
